OCBZ Teams

Making a Team

:bulletorange: STEP ONE: STOP. Come back later. Teams are a relatively big leap from regular club activity, and it's important you put some time in before you try to create a team. You must be a registered member before you can make or join a team. It's recommended you spend at least 3 months in the club before getting involved with a team.

You may add or remove members from the team at any time by noting the club. A team must always have at least 3 members. An artist can be a member of any number of teams, but a character can only be in one team.

:bulletorange: STEP TWO: Welcome back. Ready to get started? Find some friends; you'll need at least 2 other people on board for this. All beginning teams are required to have at least three characters by different artists.

Decide on a team name, and what you want your team to be about. Teams represent characters who work together in some way in the continuity, and artists who work together in the club.

:bulletorange: STEP THREE: Create a team banner with the template here: [link] The template contains instructions for its use.

:bulletorange: STEP FOUR: Create a team introduction piece. This intro piece follows the same basic guidelines as the character introduction, except that it introduces the team as a whole. At least three different artists (who will be joining the team) must contribute in some significant way to this introduction piece.

:bulletorange: STEP FIVE: Send a note to the club with a link to your banner and introductory piece, along with a link to each character who will be part of the team. If all is done correctly, your team will be added.

Using Teams

Teams work much like characters. They can brawl just like characters do, by challenging other teams or characters. The difference is that when teams battle, multiple artists work together to create the entry. As many as five artists from the team are allowed to contribute to their team entry during a battle.

Rankups for team battles work a little differently. When a team wins, DOUBLE the current rankup maximum for brawls is awarded as points to that team. These rankups are stored like credit under the team name, and can be distributed to any of the team members, or the team itself, at any time.

Teams are a new arrival to OCBZ, so their may be some kinks in the system yet. Some patience may be necessary while we work them out.
